The weather is scorching hot recently, it hits almost 40 degree in the afternoon here in KL. As I go under the sun very often, I know I need more sun protection on this blazing weather to protect my skin from harmful UV rays. Hence, I have decided to give Suntegrity sunscreen a try.
Suntegrity brand is new to me and hence I did some study on it. Originated from the US, Suntegrity is the winner of 2013 Allure Best of Beauty Natural Wonders Award. Suntegrity is a new generation truly natural sunscreen. Rated No.1 in EWG safe sunscreen guide, it is made with 20% non-nano zinc oxide, and totally free of chemical UV absorbers and titanium dioxide. It is also formulated with powerful natural antioxidants such as astaxanthin, pomegranate and green tea, and anti-inflammatory aloe vera, red algae and cucumber to protect, hydrate, moisturize and calm the skin. Multi-functional as a light weight mineral sunscreen, anti-aging moisturizer, tinted moisturizer, primer and BB cream all at one go, Suntegrity is a versatile modern natural sun care / skincare range that tick all the boxes.
Since it is so highly rave around the World, I have got my Suntegrity Impeccable Skin Moisturising Face Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF30 from TNS Skin Lab before the Chinese New Year and wear it every day since then.

The newly launched Suntegrity Impeccable Skin Moisturising Face Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF30 is a beauty boosting skincare, sunscreen and makeup all in one! This medium coverage formula gives skin a flawless, smooth, more youthful appearance. Formulated without oils or silicones, this vitamin and peptide rich technology, visibly reduces the signs of aging while non-nano zinc oxide and melanin provide Broad Spectrum SPF 30 and blue light protection to help prevent any future damage.
I like that Suntegrity Impeccable Skin Moisturising Face Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF30 comes in pump tubes, which made it easy and hassle free to get the amount that I need each time. One thin application is enough to evens out my uneven skin tone. The light texture feels so comfortable on my skin througout the day. I have fairly oily skin, Suntegrity Impeccable Skin Moisturising Face Sunscreen works perfect for me, it last for more than 6 hours.
On normal days, I will apply Suntegrity Impeccable Skin Moisturising Face Sunscreen alone and when I have an event to attend, I will use it as a primer. Overall, I love Suntegrity Impeccable Skin Moisturising Face Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF30 as it makes my skin glow naturally while giving me the necessary protection beyond the harmful UV rays.

[Hotel Review] Sunway Velocity Hotel KL

Born and raised in KL, one thing I enjoy to do with my family is hotel staycations. It's a great time for me and my family to get away from the home, and relax in the nice hotel room over the weekend. Hotel staycations have become my family's favourite moment especially my daughters because they can enjoy the hotels' facilities during the stay.
We were happy for our staycation at Sunway Velocity Hotel KL during the first week of Chinese New Year. We checked in to the superior room at Sunway Velocity Hotel KL for a 2 day 1 night stay. In fact, it was not the first time our family staying there. We like the hotel so much and we always want to go back for more. This time, the check-in and check-out process was fast and smooth as usual.
Sunway Velocity Hotel KL is strategically located in the middle of KL town, it is conveniently linked to Sunway Velocity Mall, office towers and serviced residences. We do not drive out once we have checked in because we could get almost everything we need at the Sunway Velocity Mall.
The hotel has 16 levels, and we stayed at level 14 this time. The superior room is not too big but it's just nice for my small family. It is furnished with contemporary-style decor, air-conditioning, flat-screen LED Smart TV, a personal safe and electric kettle. The en suite bathroom includes shower facilities, a hairdryer and free toiletries. I like the bright and clean room a lot. The bed was very comfortable, we had a good night sleep that night.
The best part is, the hotel features a rooftop infinity pool at level 16 that overlooking Kuala Lumpur skyline. The other facilities at the property's top floor include a 24-hour fitness centre, the facility is as clean as a brand-new gym. The view here is spectacular from morning till night.
At Sunway Velocity Hotel KL, dining options may be limited but rest assured that the Kaffeinate located on Level 5 offers light snacks and refreshments throughout the day. Guests can choose to have it takeaway or dine-in.
We have enjoyed our value for money tea set (a pc of cake/hot snack plus a cup of tea/coffee at only RM 10) and complimentary breakfast here during our stay.
Free WiFi is available throughout the property. The WiFi speed was good and we can watched our favourite programme on youtube smoothly that night.
Overall, we are satisfied with our stay here. Sunway Velocity Hotel is offering a special room rates starting from RM 230 per room per night (roon only). In addition, the hotel is offering Sunway PALS points and complimentary scheduled city-wide shuttle service, with stops at the Bukit Bintang shopping district and Sunway Putra Mall for it's guests.

[Hotel Review] Sunway Putra Hotel KL

I remember my parents like to bring us to Yaohan at The Mall when we were kids. Back then, it's the best shopping mall in town. We used to play at the playground on the top floor of the shopping mall, and we had a lot of good memories there.
Now, the place was taken over by Sunway Group and refurbished to Sunway Putra Shopping Mall and Sunway Putra Hotel KL. After the completion of RM 123 million refurbished programme in 2016, Sunway Putra Hotel KL has opened it's door to it's guests. Like all the Sunway properties, Sunway Putra Hotel KL is located at the prime KL Diamond Triangle location that provides easy reach to the heart of KL.
We were excited for our first time staying at the 650-room 5-stars hotel - Sunway Putra Hotel KL. The hotel's lobby is located at 9th floor, alongside with the hotel's sprawling main lobby featuring a dramatic atrium dome with natural light shining through the prism-like design. It is a popular place for taking pictures.
The check-in process was smooth and the staffs are really friendly there. We were given the superior room that comes with complimentary Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, flat-screen LED Smart TV, a personal safe, and electric kettle. There is a sofa, coffee table and the working desk near to the window of the room too. We like the spacious, clean and quite room a lot.
The bathroom includes shower facilities, a hairdryer and free toiletries. Oh well, it will be much better if there's a bathtub. But it's OK we spent our time had fun at the outdoor Swimming Pool and 24-hour Fitness Centre at Level 11. The children's pool is indeed my kid's favourite.

There's a line of restaurants serving International cuisine, Japanese cuisine at Sunway Putra Hotel KL. Guests can enjoy fullest their time in the hotel without needed to step out from it. The hotel's food and beverages outlets includes all-day dining restaurant at Coffee House, Atrium Lounge, Executive Lounge, and Gen Japanese restaurant.

Coffee House

Enjoy A La Carte Favourites at Coffee House for only at RM 25 Nett per set with complimentary dessert and coffee or tea. Available from 11am to 9pm daily, they serve wide variety – Indonesian fried rice with malinja crackers, trio mushrooms spagetthi with garlic bread, fish tikka with plain naan bread, margherita pizza, vegetable curry and beancurd with heera pulao rice, yellow curry noodle with cockles, grilled chicken chop with mashed potato and Sunway Putra club sanwiches.
If you fancy for some curry, do try out their Fish Head Curry. At only RM 39.90 Nett, it is served with 2 plates of steamed white rice and vegetables. We like the Fish Head Curry that is packed with a rich depth of flavour. Get a complimentary fish head curry bib when you order this dish. Collect 5 fish head tags and get next one for Free.
Breakfast at Coffee House was good with variety of foods. I like the freshly brew coffee from the coffee machine.
The best part is, there's an indoor Children Playground at Executive Lounge which allows us, parents to enjoy our meal while the kids playing there.

Gen Japanese Restaurant

Should you wish for some authentic Japanese food, go to the Gen Japanese Restaurant at level 10. We have tried the Teppanyaki Sets and Bento Sets that is not value for money and delicious.
Teppanyaki Sets comes with zensai (special apperizers of the day), chef's house salad, miso soup, choice of chicken or beef steak teppanyaki, fried rice and stir-fried oriental vegetables for only RM 50 nett. Bento Sets is priced at RM 55 nett per set.

We like to taste of the authentic Japenese food here, and the great ambiance in the restuarant.
Sunway Putra Hotel KL is connected with the 8 levels Sunway Putra Shopping Mall. Also linked to the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) via a pedestrian link-bridge. It is indeed an Ideal place for both corporate travel and leisure tourist markets.

[Review] Eureka Miracles ® Crystal White Collagen

As a beauty lover, I have started consuming Collagen years ago. Collagen is a rich source of protein found in our connective tissue, cartilage, bone and tendons. Our bodies make collagen—but production slows down as we age. It is good to squeezing in an extra serving of Collagen to promote protein in your muscles, skin, blood, bones, cartilage, and ligaments. I have tried numerous brand of Collagen supplement, and the most recent one I have tried is Eureka Miracles ® Crystal White Collagen. Their formulation is an award winning product conferred by the Salon International Des Invention Geneva, and they have won the Gold award. They also won the Best Invention of the Year 2015, Gold Award from The Association of British Inventors and Innovators.
With so many awards winning record, consumers will feel confident with Eureka Miracles ® Crystal White Collagen.
I started consumed Eureka Miracles ® Crystal White Collagen every morning before Chinese New Year. It is easy to consume, just mix 1 to 2 scoop (8 gram) of the collagen with water then consume. Unlike the conventional fishy collagen, it comes in a good fruity taste.
It helps hair growth, skin improvements for eczema (dry flaking skins) patients, reduction of fine wrinkles, reduction of pigmentation's, dark spots and skin lightening with continue consumption.

I did not suffer any reactions from the Eureka Miracles ® Crystal White Collagen. As for myself, I noticed my skin is not only firmer, but also more brighten up because of it's Vitamin C ingredients. The pigmentation on my skin is lighter too. I will continue consume Eureka Miracles ® Crystal White Collagen for a youthful and fair skin.
Eureka Miracles ® Crystal White Collagen is suitable for both male and females consumption's. The collagen comes in a big size of 500gm, and is retail at USD125.00 (MYR520.00). It last more than a month for me. To buy, logon to website www.eurekamiracle.com as it is available for online purchase only.

Part of Malaysia’s National Child Protection Policy and Action Plan, NUR Alerts are shared by law enforcement and regulatory agencies when a police report is made indicating the possibility of a missing child being the victim of abuse or other crimes. Through this collaboration, Grab will support the rapid dissemination of NUR Alerts and requests for assistance in finding missing children by alerting it’s network of hundreds of thousands of driver-partners instantly to be on the lookout and inform PDRM if they come across any news.

“The importance of quick, decisive action cannot be overstated when it comes to identifying, rescuing, recovering, or protecting any child in Malaysia who is the victim of any crime. The NUR Alert system is a key part of our national defense against anyone who would harm our children. The ability to share these alerts nationwide, to hundreds of thousands of dedicated Malaysians who are part of Grab’s network of driver-partners is a powerful addition to the existing efforts of PDRM, MCMC, and the host of other organisations who support our efforts to keep all the children and communities safe, everyday,” said YB Hannah Yeoh, Deputy Women, Family and Community Development Minister at Grab Malaysia’s offices.
#SaferEveryday is Grab’s wide focus in ensuring that the highest standards of safety are applied to every aspect of its business. Malaysia, where Grab’s safety focused Research and Development Centre is located, is part of the development and delivery of the brand’s ‘#SaferEveryday Tech Roadmap’ that includes measures specifically aimed at changing user safety habits - to drive long-term road behaviour change and to reduce the chance of incidents.
“Grab’s #SaferEveryday is our commitment towards creating a safer Southeast Asia. It is a long-term approach that focuses on core areas: safety tech roadmap; partnerships with like minded organisations like the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development, and PDRM; and education programme, to make this promise a reality. Our goal has always been to provide an everyday service that matters to our customers as well as partners through the use of data and technology. As our footprint has grown through the years, so has our ability to use the Grab network in different ways. The authorities do their best, but the power of having hundreds of thousands of Malaysians looking out for each other, sharing information, and working together to make every day, safer for all of us - that’s truly key to helping us move forward as a nation”, said Sean Goh, Country Head, Grab Malaysia.

In addition to sharing NUR Alerts to its nationwide network of driver partners, Grab will also explore further enhancements to develop new ways to raise awareness about the NUR Alerts to their passengers and the wider community as well.

Working with the Government is key to Grab’s long term strategy for safety for the betterment of the community. This includes providing communities a safe, convenient way to enjoy transportation, food and parcel delivery and cashless payments that are available to all. This community safety focus extends to ensuring a zero tolerance environment for harassment or criminal activity of any kind in and around Grab’s ecosystem; and in using the power of the platform to help all its users and partners stay safe.

“Today, we are the only major player to invest in key resources like a 24/7 customer support centre, number masking, stringent driver background checks, and verification. We do not compromise on our users’ safety, and that’s why even as Grab has grown much larger over the years, safety is still a core part of our DNA, and we will continue to invest in it aggressively,” added Goh.

Grab’s #SaferEveryday is a regional campaign which aims to drive local safety initiatives across the eight countries where Grab operates. More information on Grab’s commitments and goals can be found here: www.grab.com/safety.

New Matcha Sakura Tea Series Inspired by the Matcha Traditions of Japan @ The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf®

In recent years, as society progresses and our stress levels increase, more and more people are looking to cultural traditions to enhance their lives. From yoga and meditation to ancient superfoods, many practices from Asia’s oldest cultures are seeing a revival as people strive to embrace a life that is more balanced and holistic. As a result, it’s no longer unusual to find age-old beverages such as Japanese green tea on shelves and in eateries, and greater interest in experiencing the serenity of tea appreciation ceremonies.

Though it’s been around for a long time, many aren’t aware that green tea retains its beautiful colour because it’s unfermented and thus retains more of its nutritional benefits. It may also be revelation to some that Japanese green tea comes in different forms, with the most common being sencha and matcha; sencha is brewed as whole leaves while matcha is ground into a powder and mixed with water, resulting in a creamier flavour.
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® (CB&TL) builds on this revival of cultural flavours with its latest beverage series Matcha Sakura, using ceremonial-grade matcha harvested with first-flush Tencha and stone-milled to preserve its superior quality, says David de Candia, Tea Master for CB&TL. These premium green tea leaves are sourced directly from a small-scale family farm in Shizuoka, Japan that has been around since 1923, in order to keep the traditional harvesting methods alive while the small batches ensure the quality of leaves. The tea leaves for this grade of matcha are shade-grown for almost 30 days, resulting in the vibrant green in colour, before being hand-plucked so that the leaves are not bruised. The leaves are then steamed and deveined, before being ground slowly to powder-like consistency in a granite mill over many hours.
To further enhance its flavour and to bring a new experience to tea drinkers, the matcha is then blended with a Japanese sakura syrup, made from the delicate flowers that bloom in spring, to create two Matcha Sakura beverages: Matcha Sakura Ice Blended® drink (RM17.50/S and RM18.50/R), topped with sakura whipped cream and drizzled with sakura blossom syrup, and Matcha Sakura as a hot or iced latte (RM15.50/S and RM16.50/R respectively).
Going even beyond fair trade, CB&TL has a long history of working directly with tea farmers and not via third parties. CB&TL is a leader in sourcing, developing and creating premium tea-based beverages from plantations in 10 countries including China, Indonesia, Japan, Taiwan and Thailand. As each type of tea has different plucking seasons, working directly with growers means tea lovers get fresher, more exclusive flavours as the different leaves go through tailor-made processes in order to produce the right balance of flavours for each and every cup.

For the freshest matcha, timing is the most challenging aspect, says De Candia, and the Matcha Sakura is a contemporary take on a centuries-old tradition. Tea in Asia has always been more than a beverage, with tea drinking remaining central to various ceremonies that are still taking place today.

Enjoy CB&TL’s Matcha Sakura beverages for a limited time from 6th March 2019 at all outlets, or try the Fukamushi Sencha, a whole-leaf green tea with sweet, floral and grassy hints (RM12.50/pot and RM55 for 20 tea bags).

In conjunction with the launch of the Matcha Sakura tea series, CB&TL is also partnering with local handmade bath & cosmetics brand Wunderbath to create the Wunderbath x CB&TL Lip Balm (RM20.90) & Lip Stain (RM22.90), available at 6 selected CB&TL stores nationwide, namely:

Johor Bahru City Square
Gurney Plaza, Penang
Sunway Pyramid, Petaling Jaya, Selangor

Savour The Taste of The Scottish Highlands

Founded in the late 1800’s, the Tomatin whisky distillery sits at an altitude of 315 metres above sea level just to the west village of the same name and quenches its annual five million litre capacity with the pure waters of the Alt-na-Frith burn. Although it is one of the largest distilleries around, it is still relatively unknown to the outside world.

The name of Tomatin is translated as ‘the hill of the juniper bush’ from Gaelic. The soft waters of the Alt-na-Frith (Free Burn), the distillery’s private water source, which runs clear and pure through the Monadhliath Mountains help to create a Highland Malt with delicate flavours, yet rich and mellow style.
Winner of several notable awards, the Tomatin 12 Year Old is smooth and silky, having been matured in traditional Scotch Whisky, ex-Bourbon and ex-Spanish casks. A rich, fruity aroma hits the nose first which is a prelude to sweet flavours of ripe apples, pears and a subtle hint of nut before the long, pleasantly oily finish. On the palate, this is a very pleasant whisky. It’s malt-forward, with plenty of spice. It’s smooth, but not dull; tasty without a hint of peat.
Also award winning, the Tomatin 14 Year Old is soft, smooth and sweet, benefiting from its time spent in Tawny Port casks which previously hled port for around 50 years. Rich but balanced aromas of red berries, sweet honey and rich toffee develop into aspects of light fruits and nuts on the palate and an abiding finish of fruit salad.

The Tomatin 18 Year Old is a truly world class malt. Matured in traditional oak casks and first-fill Oloroso Sherry butts, this is undoubtedly an elegant whisky. The taste of clean sherry is present throughout and it is one of the main highlights of this whisky. Although the nose is rather inviting, it only hints at the magic that is to come. It hits the palate with a firework display of dried fruits, cinnamon, vanilla and oak that develops into a dash of dark chocolate with a citrus bite before a sustained sweet and slightly dry finish.

Then, there is Tomatin distillery's new no-age-statement release, Tomatin Legacy. It is a tribute to its dedicated craftsmen. The time spent in Bourbon barrels and Virgin Oak casks brings a light sweetness to The Tomatin Legacy. It boasts aromas of vanilla, marshmallow, pineapple and lemon. On the palate gentle flavours of candy, pine, lemon sherbet, apples and sponge cake emerge ahead of a light, clean finish. The whisky comes ablaze on the tongue. The malts are young albeit, but they’re clean and crisp and under the reigns. As this whisky fades into the sunset the malts go on cruise control, leaving you with some delicate spices on the fade away.
Truly an undiscovered whisky for all Single Malt lovers out there. The Tomatin range brings with it an air of mystery. It delivers a taste of the Scottish Highlands in a glass and will continue to surprise the palate throughout each of its expressions. To enjoy your choice of Tomatin, head over to 61 Monarchy and savour a bit of the highlands for yourself.

Bonjour, allez-vous bien? Do you know what's this means? It means 'Hello, how are you?' in French. Don't worry, I am not going to teach you French today, but I would love to share a not-to-be missed festival with you. Le French Festival(LFF) is back for the 18th edition this 2019. LFF is a highly-anticipated annual French event held here in Malaysia for us to experience with captivating events. There are full of activities lined-up including French Cinema screenings, art exhibitions, music and theatre performances, gastronomy and so much more.
Since its inception in 2001, LFF has progressively evolved as an indomitable bridge of cultural exchange between France and Malaysia while successfully establishing its roots in four major cities, reaching over tens of thousands of spectators namely Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru and Kota Kinabalu.
Le French Festival 2019 will be held from 4th Apr 2019 to 12th May 2019. It is a remarkable one as for the first time, be proudly presented by G.H.Mumm Champagne, the No.1 Grande Maison champagne in France, and Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) as a longstanding collaborator and partner of the French Film Festival – pulling together a festival for everyone from all walks of life including families and children, French enthusiasts, movie buffs, and foodies among others. Some programmes of the LFF are even designed specifically for schools and universities.
And, for the first time in the LFF history, organizers Alliance Francaise (AF) together with the Embassy of France in Malaysia will not only be curating a variety of programmes and artistes from France but will also play the role of “producer” as they collaborate with the nationally acclaimed theatre company in Malaysia, KL Shakespeare Players (KLSP) to create a special performance for LFF 2019: a reinterpretation of “Cyrano de Bergerac”(“The story of Cyrano de Bergerac”) deemed to be the most famous play in French theatre.
Mr. Jacques Bounin, Director of Alliance Francaise Kuala Lumpur shared that with Malaysia being France's second-largest economic partner in ASEAN, cultural exchange and appropriation is important in all segments of growth for both countries.

“A platform of exchange is inevitably in need for everyone to be able to express and interact with, without the existence of cultural boundaries. With LFF's perennial history, we're encouraged to see the affinity between Malaysia and France thrive as we are honoured to reach a pinnacle of our journey (to date) where this year, we have the privilege of working with local collaborators to create and present French content by Malaysians,”said Mr. Bounin during the press conference.
Look forward to LFF 2019 as it will feature the most current trends and entertainment from France. It will be held at the four cities at the dates below;

Kuala Lumpur – 4 Apr to 28 Apr
Penang – 25 Apr to 5 May

Laser treatment is very popular here in Malaysia, don't you agree? I have many friends that are going for regular laser treatments. I have also tried a few types of laser treatment. Sometimes we are skeptical of laser treatments because we thought that it might made our skin becomes sensitive but hey, there's a new technology arrives in Malaysia that works great and not harming our skin.
Introducing PICOPLUS Laser Solution, US FDA-approved system that was developed by Korea's pioneering aesthetic laser medical device company, LUTRONIC. Created by Asian for the Asian, PICOPLUS adopts the advanced Korean medical breakthrough manufactured and designed to safely and effectively treat our skin pigmentation and beyond, it will reveal a newer and more confident you.

PICOPLUS is the first machine approved by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS). It provides precise control over pulse-width, wavelength and fluence needed for outstandingly desired results, all from one premium platform to combat pigmentation issues, acne scaring, wrinkles, redness issues and tattoo removal.

We were honoured to be invited to the grand launch event of PICOPLUS held at Co-Labs The Starling.

There, Jess Kong, Manager Medical Aesthetics provided an explanation on how this new technology made by Asians for Asians works. Experts in the medical field agree that PICOPLUS provides an advantage compared to other aesthetic machines in the market. Moreover, it has mastered the sensitivity of Asian skin when other laser models only have effectiveness on lighter skin types. It is highly versatile which comes with four wavelengths to achieve far better results on Asians skins as each treatment is customised based on the patient's condition.
Jess Kong, Manager Medical Aesthetics

Unlike traditional lasers that are painful and will leave some side-effects, PICOPLUS is proven to be safe and effective. Taking pride in being the World's first 3 depth scanner with its new Dual Focused Dots Hand Piece, PICOPLUS is able to penetrate the skin without injuring the dermal epidermal junction with its four wavelengths capable of delivering lasers in picosecond duration, which is a 1000 times shorter than traditional laser. It allowed pigmented lesion and tattoos to be broken down into smaller pigments. As a result, it is able to remove them effectively, leaving room for little to no side-effects.
L to R: Ms. Jess Kong (Manager - Medical Aesthetics), Dr. Jeff Khoo (Revival Clinic), Dr. Hew Yin Keat (The M.A.C. Clinic), and Dr. Anna Hoo (Anna Hoo Clinic) with the next evolutionary premier laser solution, PICOPLUS.

PICOPLUS is a non-ablative pigment laser that offers both picosecond and nanosecond pulse duration. With picosecond pulses, the treatment results can be faster and more effective with less downtime. This set itself apart from traditional lasers as it can deliver energy in a fraction of a second,” shared Jess Kong during the launch event.

The PICOPLUS novel design, ergonomics, and exceptional precision and reliability have been demonstrated and highly valued around the World. Now this advanced picosecond and nanosecond platform can safely and effectively help aesthetic clinics achieve mastery over difficult pigment and tattoo cases.
From countless skin regimes to aesthetic procedures not resulting in the desired results, getting the skin one dreams of is now a reality. The youthful looking and overall improved tone and texture of skin is now achievable, seamlessly and painlessly with PICOPLUS.

PICOPLUS treatments is available at selected clinics namely the MAC Clinic, Anna Hoo Clinic and Revival Clinic. For more information, visit https://int.aesthetic.lutronic.com/intl/products/picoplus/
